Kinsale Youth Theatre Project (KYTP)

A Free Creative Opportunity for Young People

Kinsale Youth Theatre Project (KYTP) offers a dynamic, free opportunity for young people to explore theatre, develop new skills, and connect with their peers in a supportive environment. This initiative is proudly supported by a Youth Theatre Development Grant from the Creative Ireland Programme, in partnership with Youth Theatre Ireland. Currently operating under a working title, the official name will be chosen by the young participants of Kinsale at the Christmas show for 2025.

What We Do

KYTP is an organisational member of Youth Theatre Ireland, having developed its Child Protection and Organisational Policies with their guidance. Our long-term goal is to become an affiliated member by 2025. While primarily populated by ages 9-15, KYTP welcomes discussion with young people aged 7-24, with over-18s participating separately due to safeguarding regulations.

KYTP is currently working on a St. Patrick's Day Float in collaboration with Transition Town Kinsale. Makers' days will be held on:

  • Wednesday, March 12th, 2-5 PM
