This immersive scenario, which explores the complexities of domestic violence in a maternity hospital, marks RSVP’s first venture into virtual reality filmmaking. The team is delighted to be part of creating an impactful learning experience for future social workers, due for completion this April 2025.

"The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark."

Comedy, drama, and elements of dance theatre, depict this story of a life, told holistically, from birth to its very last breath.
Our main protagonist, Jack, is in danger of losing his wife Jo to his primary quest for immortality through art. When a new friend Miguel, introduces his own wife Maria to Jack, he recognises a soulmate.
Jack and Maria are uniquely bonded by their vision of immortality, a shared humour about death, and a need to interrogate life to its esoteric parameters, with a savage, yet beautiful, honesty.

Lord Mayor’s Gala Christmas Concert Raises €24,000 for Charity Despite Last-Minute Singer Swap
The 62nd Lord Mayor’s Gala Christmas Concert at Cork City Hall was a resounding success, raising an incredible €24,000 for charity. The night was not without its challenges, as soprano Majella Cullagh lost her voice just hours before the event. However, in a remarkable display of community spirit, Cork’s own Mary Hegarty stepped in at the last minute, delivering a breathtaking performance that wowed the audience.
Under the artistic direction of Yvonne Coughlan and hosted by Lord Mayor Cllr. Dan Boyle, the concert featured a rich blend of music, spoken word, and dance. A captivating storytelling performance by Pakie O’Callaghan brought an Irish Christmas tale to life, while the Joan Denise Moriarty School of Dance enchanted the audience with their elegant seasonal choreography.
The evening’s proceeds will support Cork Penny Dinners, Inclusive Dance Cork, and Balance Summer Camp, ensuring that vital services continue for those in need. Despite the unexpected twists, the concert proved once again that Cork’s artistic and charitable spirit shines brightest during the festive season.

Inclusive Dance Cork, Secures Resilient Cork Fund Support for 2025!
We’re delighted to share that Inclusive Dance Cork (IDC), has been selected as one of seven awardees of the Resilient Cork Fund! This funding will support IDC’s work in 2025, continuing its mission to make dance accessible to all, foster creativity, and break down barriers for diverse communities.
The Resilient Cork Fund, created by Rethink Ireland in partnership with philanthropic donors and the Department of Rural and Community Development, supports organisations tackling inequality, promoting social inclusion, and strengthening mental health resilience across Cork. IDC’s inclusion highlights the impact of its pioneering inclusive dance programs, developed in partnership with University College Cork (UCC), Suisha Inclusive Arts/Cope Foundation, and Cork Education and Training Board.
Yvonne Coughlan, Chair of Dance Cork Firkin Crane and a founding member of IDC, expressed her gratitude for this support:
"This funding strengthens our ability to bring inclusive dance to more people, ensuring that creativity and movement are accessible to all. It’s a recognition of the dedication and collaboration behind IDC’s work."
This follows IDC’s recent success in securing the Business to Arts Community Foundation Ireland Creative Access Award 2024, further cementing its role as a leader in inclusive dance education. The award sculpture, Geallta (Promise), by Emmet Kane, will be proudly displayed at Dance Cork Firkin Crane, symbolising the power of partnership in the arts.
A huge thank you to Rethink Ireland and all funding partners for investing in a more equal and creative Cork!
